McLane Drivers Recognized with Prestigious International Foodservice Distributors Association Truck Driver Hall of Fame Induction
Seven McLane teammates also honored as Rising Stars
McLane is proud to announce that the International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA) recently inducted nine of its drivers into the IFDA Truck Driver Hall of Fame. This year, IFDA recognized a record-breaking 97 drivers, spotlighting the industry’s heightened importance of safety and its success in cultivating long-tenured professionals. Honorees, chosen based on their exceptional careers and contributions, were celebrated Sept. 24 during IFDA’s annual conference in Kansas City, Mo.
“Our drivers are the face of McLane, and being inducted into the Truck Driver Hall of Fame reflects the extraordinary professionalism and dedication they bring to the job every day,” said Susan Adzick, president of McLane Restaurant. “These honorees represent the best in their field, and we are deeply grateful for their commitment to safety, dedication to serving our customers and the invaluable role they play in McLane’s success. We also extend our gratitude to their families for the support of our drivers so they may excel in their careers.”
McLane’s 2024 IFDA Truck Driver Hall of Fame inductees are:

- John Whitlock, McLane Charlotte
Being inducted into the IFDA Truck Driver Hall of Fame is a lifetime honor. To be eligible, drivers must have at least 25 years of employment with an IFDA Member Company with no chargeable accidents and no moving violations over the last five years.
Seven McLane teammates were also named Rising Stars at the conference, representing the diverse talent driving the future of the foodservice distribution industry forward. Honorees must be under 40, have worked in foodservice distribution for at least five years and have demonstrated a record of excellence and innovation in the industry.
