McLane Drivers Shine at 2024 IFDA National Championship, Securing Top Honors
In October, McLane teammates proudly represented the company at the International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA) National Championship, held in Kissimmee, Florida. IFDA’s annual skills and safety competition celebrates the top industrial athletes in various truck driving and warehouse challenges to determine the nation’s best.
Over the course of the competition, held on October 25, 190 professional truck drivers and 79 warehouse associates competed across five categories and were evaluated in four areas: written exams, obstacle courses, pre-trip inspections and demonstrated skill levels.
McLane teammates won the 2024 Driving Team Award for outstanding team performance, while four individual teammates landed a podium spot in their respective categories:
• Lafayette Maxie, McLane Arlington, second place in the double pallet jack competition
• Daniel Trevino, McLane San Antonio, third place in the 2-axle category
• Charles Spence, McLane Portland, second place in the 5-axle category
• Sam Duron, McLane Riverside, third place in the 5-axle category
